We all know that it has become increasingly difficult for schools to fund learning opportunities outside the classroom! Target understands this challenge and is bringing students once-in-a-lifetime learning experiences through field trips they'll never forget. Target Field Trip Grants, launched in 2007, has made it possible for millions of students to go on such trips. Click here for additional information in regard to submitting a grant application, which is due by October 1, 2018.

The GWHS NJROTC recently held it’s annual Free Community Car Wash on August 25, 2018, at Red Lobster, located on Piedmont Dr. This event is not only done as a service to the community but is also used to build teamwork and leadership among the cadets. In the 3rd picture below, LCDR Frank Hitt, the Senior Naval Science Instructor at GWHS and the coordinator of the event, is seated and looking a little too relaxed. Hmmmm.
