Achieve3000 is proud to announce that Laura Graser of O.T. Bonner Middle School and Kammara Scott of Park Avenue Elementary School have recently been recognized as Achieve3000 PRO Educators. This recognition is reserved for the most professional, resourceful, and outstanding educators whom are successfully helping students accelerate their literacy growth.
Ms. Graser and Ms. Scott have been using Achieve3000’s solutions in their classrooms for approximately two years with struggling, grade-level, and advanced readers, as well as those in need of special education services. Both teachers acknowledge that students’ motivation can be a challenge in the classroom. In order to keep her students engaged and celebrate their learning, Ms. Graser holds monthly competitions with rewards for the student who completes six reading lessons each month. Ms. Scott takes the time to examine each student’s performance in her class and then reviews that performance with them during individual conference sessions. She also uses student performance data to understand who is struggling where and then plans future lessons to address her students’ needs. These are the kinds of instructional strategies that can be so effective for helping all students succeed in school.

Thanks to Conrad Smith and Stuart Smith at Floor Care Specialists, Inc. for donating a new breakfast cart to Bonner Middle School. More kids are eating breakfast because of your generosity! As an added bonus, Principal Larry Marks indicates that the addition of the cart has cut down serving time by 10 minutes which gives more time for instruction! Stay tuned to a video by Patrick Stowe! #partnershipsmatter
7:30 a.m. comes early but I don't mind because I got to spend it with some cool Superheroes and Heroines at Forest Hills Elementary this week! Students and staff dressed up and invited Danville's finest, our First Responders, to breakfast. Can you guess whose behind the Spider-Man suit?
Stopped by Kickback Jack’s yesterday to do my favorite thang...pick up a check! Thank you to KBJ’s and GM Anthony Aspero for your donation generated from your back-to-school event and for your support of our greatest assets, our students! Note to self, don't have your photo taken in front of a huge window when sun is shining #photofail #partnershipsmatter
Thank you to the Womack Foundation for providing funds to purchase new instruments for the HBCU Bonner Drum Corp. The kids were really excited when the instruments arrived last week. I see you Omar! #partnershipsmatter
