The MISS Mentorship Program at Schoolfield takes a community-based approach with an emphasis on empowering girls through educational experiences and service projects. MISS Mentorship is led by Ms. Jasmine Brown, CEO, and Ms. Debra Pyles, Assistant Program Coordinator. The program at Schoolfield Elementary focuses on young ladies being leaders in our community and in society. Recently, Mr.Jim Mullian, a paramedic from The Danville Life Saving Crew, came to talk to the girls about being a person of good character, work ethic, and how it helped him move up the tiers with the crew. He’s been with the Crew for over a decade. He was also the one who gave our girls Hands-Only CPR training experience at the 2019-20 Danville-Pittsylvania Heart Walk & 5k at Averett University. The girls are currently accepting donations of personal items to take to area nursing homes.
