Schoolfield Elementary's third graders and parents visited Washington, DC to further learn about the importance of government in our nation's capital. The group also took a tour of various monuments and museums.
ACEC's newest GED Graduate is Dayizhainic Jones. Dayiz was a former teen student with us, and moved to the adult program in March after turning 18 years old. She by no means has had an easy life, and has overcome many obstacles. For that reason she has captured the heart of all her teachers who encouraged her not to give up on her dreams. Dayiz plans to attend DCC for two years and then transfer to a four year program to obtain her bachelors degree in social work. She wants to be a social worker because she knows first hand what important work they do.
You can come watch Dayizhainic walk across the stage at our graduation ceremony on June 1, 11am, at the George Washington Auditorium.
If you would like to be our next success story come see us at 141 Goode Street, or call Mary Dumont at 434.791.6471.
