The GWHS Concert Choir traveled to Washington, DC on April 14-17, 2018 to perform at the National Cathedral as part of the National Festival Choir sponsored by Manhattan Concert Productions. The performed the Masterwork, "Frostiana" by Randall Thompson, based on the poetry of Robert Frost. While they were in Washington, they had the opportunity to tour the city and visit the African American Museum of the Smithsonian Institute. The choir would like to express their gratitude to the many churches and organizations as well as individuals who helped them raise over $15,000 to be able to take this trip.
