DPS Employee(s) Spotlight - The DPS Maintenance Department keeps us up and running smoothly year round and that's a big job when there are 17 buildings/grounds in the Division.
They are a dedicated, fun-loving bunch of guys who always help out when needed. Did you know that they provide the following services for the Division: auto repair, carpentry, electrician, grounds crew, HVAC, general maintenance, painting, and plumbing?
Shout out to the following:
Back row from Left to Right - William Hall, Brandon Gray, Keith Johnson, Donald Coleman, John Bridges, Brooks Wilson, Chase Hetzell, Brian Broome, Kenneth Travis, Vincent Dillard, Frankie Jennings, and Jeff Pearson.
Front row from Left to Right - Anthony Rice, Ryan Hoskins, John Childress, and Tom Daily.
The second photo is Ann Austin, Secretary - the one who keeps the guys going! Now that's a real job!
Thank you for all that you do! You are greatly appreciated. Alonzo Jones and Tom Parcell, you have an awesome crew!

On February 12, 2019, first grade students at Gibson Elementary were visited by students from GWHS in the Dental Health program. They learned how to properly brush and floss in a fun and engaging way, since February is National Children’s Dental Health month. Each GWHS student took the time to help the first graders learn good oral health practices. Our first graders even received a goody bag of a brand new toothbrush and toothpaste to keep up the good work at home! We appreciate Ms. Gobble and her students for taking the time to visit and educate our first graders.

Meet our most recent GED graduate Madison Morrison. Madison began her GED studies back in 2015 and quickly passed three parts of the GED exam with honors. She studied online for the math, but was unsuccessful in passing in four attempts. She enrolled with ACEC in late January and studied math with us a few weeks and passed with a solid score.
If math is holding you back from achieving your GED Diploma, please call Mary Dumont at 434 799 6471. We make math easy!
