This template is automatically applied to all active courses and includes an editable homepage, an enrollment verification quiz, and links to CFCC help and resources. Instructors are responsible for updating their template before the first day of class.

Update the course title and instructor's name.
Optional: Replace the header image with a course-specific image.Note: Be sure to make the image 800x150 for proper sizing
Update the course name and introduction paragraph.
Open the EV quiz and set a due date that aligns with your course's census date. Lock or unpublish all content modules until the EV is complete.Once the census date has passed, you may delete this button from the homepage.
In-person classes that don't require an EV may delete this button immediately.
Update your contact information, image, and welcome information. Make sure to click the Instructor Information and Welcome" link to update your instructor introduction.
Note: The headshot may not appear to be left aligned until you hit save.
Update the course syllabus.
Note: This semester’s EV quiz has one question that students acknowledge they’ve read the syllabus
Optional: Add any additional buttons or course links (i.e online textbook) as needed. You can create matching buttons using the template or add extra information below the footer.
❗If you plan to reuse a previous Canvas course by importing it through course copy, remember to delete the previous semester's Enrollment Verification Quiz and the modules titled 'Course Overview and Enrollment Verification' and 'Student Support Resources,' as these are no longer needed.

1) I teach face-to-face. Do I have to use the template?
Face-to-Face faculty are not required to use the entire canvas course template in their course setup. They have the option to hide the enrollment verification quiz and welcome information sections if they choose. However, they must ensure that all essential links, such as student support resources, remain visible and that they upload their syllabus to the designated area.
2) Can I add questions to the enrollment verification quiz?
No. Faculty are not permitted to add questions to the provided enrollment verification quiz. However, they are welcome to create a separate syllabus quiz for students to take immediately after completing the enrollment verification quiz. This allows students to confirm their understanding of the course syllabus while keeping the integrity of the enrollment verification process intact.
