Welcome to Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program - Fall and Spring Semester

Thank you for taking interest in the course I teach at the City College of San Francisco. As one of the five professors for the Pharmacy Technician Certificate program, my part of the program focuses on pharmacy math and hospital practice. I am looking forward to working with you and preparing you for this amazing and rewarding career field as a pharmacy technician. We will work together to help you succeed in this course.

As pharmacies expand patient care services, the role of and need for pharmacy technicians is also expanding. Pharmacy technicians are vital members of the healthcare team and are essential to providing patients with safe and effective medication therapy.

The knowledge, skills and experience you will gain from this course will provide a solid foundation for you to explore further in pharmacy practice and advance to higher level in your career path.

As a practicing clinical pharmacist in the hospital setting, I am confident that my background and experience will provide you valuable pointers and guidance. Please feel to contact me with any questions you may have about the Pharmacy Technician Certificate program or the PHTC 101 and 103 course.
