Welcome to Spanish 1A: Elementary Spanish. Spanish 1A is a three-unit online class, is an introduction to Spanish language and culture. The approach is proficiency-oriented, communicative and task-based in order to help you develop communicative competence in all four-skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) as well as cultural competence. Cengage - MindTap is the platform where you will find your online homework exercises, and several resources to study Spanish. You will have to complete assignments from two platforms: Canvas and MindTap.
