Basics
More information can be found on the syllabus.
Grades
No prelab assignments. Your grade is only dependent on your lab work and tests
During a lab meeting you and your group:
Work through experimental procedure
Carefully calculate and report results on a worksheet in the lab manual
Turn in the reports on the same day
Each report is graded out of ten points
You get one 'Free Pass' where you can miss a lab without penalty to your grade
If you feel sick, please stay home
If you must miss more than one lab, I will give you data and tasks that you can do remotely to turn in for a grade on Canvas
Two Tests covering techniques and physics
See syllabus for other grading information
Lab Manual
A new 2AL Lab Manual is required
Buy it new from the bookstore
You fill in the worksheets in the lab manual to turn in
I do not provide copies of any of the labs
For the first lab meeting I will list the lab tasks on the chalk board
Canvas
Our use of Canvas for this face-to-face class is minimal
I will place on Canvas:
Important class announcements
Go into your Canvas Settings and make sure you get notifications
There is no excuse for you to miss announcements
