Student Affairs Professional

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Todd Boberg and I am currently a graduate student pursuing my master's degree in the Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration Program at SUNY Buffalo State. I am from Mayville, NY and my college journey began at SUNY Jamestown Community College, where I graduated in May of 2017 with High Honors and an Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration. I then transferred to SUNY Fredonia where I majored in Public Accountancy & Business Administration: Management. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in May of 2020. It was at Fredonia that I became interested in the field of student affairs administration. There I was able to work as a work-study and student assistant in Fredonia's Financial Aid Office. Before this experience, I had heard of this field but was not sure it was the right fit for me. At Fredonia, I was also involved with student organizations that furthered my interest in student affairs. These organizations were Alpha Phi Omega - Chi Pi Chapter, a co-ed service fraternity, and Fredonia's Accounting Society. I was lucky to serve on the Executive Board for both of these organizations. During my time in The higher education and student affairs administration program at SUNY Buffalo State College, I have had multiple experiences working in the field. I was a graduate assistant at Hilbert College in their office of career development for two years. Also, I was an intern for transfer student engagement in the office of academic success and interned in the office of undergraduate admissions, both at SUNY Buffalo State College. My graduate assistantship and transfer engagement internship provided me with additional experiences working with students in higher education. These experiences have further solidified my desire to go into the field and to continue working with students. Through my experience of working in higher education and being involved with on-campus organizations at my undergraduate institution, I realized that I enjoy working with students. I hope to be a valuable resource to students I encounter throughout my career.
