Participants will learn how to integrate career and technical education with core content areas to connect college and career knowledge through the use of industry themes. Rigorous Cambridge AS and A level coursework can be united with career themes, leading learners to be world ready, workforce ready, and higher education ready. Specific examples will be discussed that lead to distinguished academies and the use of systems to ensure fidelity to the design. Integrating rigorous Cambridge AS and A level course into the scheme will also be highlighted.

Proud founding principal of Hialeah Gardens High School, Dr. Louis Algaze earned both his Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Miami in Education and Educational Leadership, respectively. He has been a high school administrator for the past 22 years. He has been on the SACS/AdvancEd Florida Council responsible for reviewing accreditation reports and recently assigned to be the representative from North America on the Cambridge Principal Advisory Council.
