In this session, participants will examine ways to be intentional in helping diverse learners gather, process, store, and retrieve/apply academic content. Specifically, we will explore ways to engage learners from diverse cultural backgrounds through 6 Ms of Culturally Responsive Instruction©: Meaning, Models, Monitoring, the Mouth, Music, and Movement. Embedded throughout the session will be opportunities to reflect on instructional practice using the 6 Ms as a framework.
