New Legislation to Expand Federal Funding for Magnet Schools
Senator Murphy will be introducing new legislation soon – proposed by MSA – that would substantially expand the MSAP program and provide magnet schools with new federal funding opportunities. During the session, Senator Murphy’s office will provide a description of the legislation, as well as talk about next steps and how you can help in moving this important legislation forward.
Sujith Cherukumilli is the Education Fellow for Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT). Prior to serving in this role, Sujith was the Interim Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy and a policy analyst for the Southern Education Foundation, an education equity organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career in education as a 7th grade English teacher for Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada.
