In the morning of the 3rd day we visited the Globe theater.
Before we entered the theater, our teacher gave us a little tour of the area, fortunately it was sunny so the weather was enjoyable, guess we were VERY lucky!! 😁🍀
A shakespearean experience
In the morning of the 3rd day we visited the Globe theater.
Before we entered the theater, our teacher gave us a little tour of the area, fortunately it was sunny so the weather was enjoyable, guess we were VERY lucky!! 😁🍀
When we first saw the Globe it was impossible to recognize that it wasn’t the real one but a copy of the original that was ruined by the Great fire. We got a little disappointed, but we coped with that👍🏻. It was made of concrete, wood and hay, the gate for the entrance was made of metal and it had all the characteristic plants and animals, which appeared in Shakespere plays.
Our guide was part of the theater crew, he is an actor that played many important roles, isn’t it amazing😍? He was very kind and funny, he involved us in all the activities that he planned.

Inside the Globe
First we saw the outside of the building and it started raining…London weather😪, after that we entered the Globe. Sorry guys, we don't have any pictures of the inside😢, because we weren’t allowed to take photos, there were people on stage. But you can see repertoir pictures taken from the net here. The guide started telling us all the history of the theater and how it worked. We were surprised when we first heard that the Globe could host almost 1600 people now, imagine how many fitted back then😱. He amused us with the random facts of the plays.
After the visit we transferred to a room where the actors practiced.
The Actor made us sit in a circle fist, then we played little games. The first game consisted in doing the opposite of what our guide said. Another was to mirror what our partner was doing;and then we had to learn how to use our voice to persuade our partned to do something.
At the end of the activity we read the scripts of “A middle summer night’s dream”, it was so new and amazing🤩
Tower of London
We took the ferry and we had a ride of 5-10 minutes and we arrived near the Tower of London, we visited the outside and we took some pictures📸.
Outside it was raining, we entered the room where all the crowns of the Pastora Kingston and queens were preserved. Sorry, pictures were not allowed, we didn't want to go in prison😅.
Our teachers organized a treasure hunt to do at the Tower of London, it was such a good idea, we saw the Tower with different eyes and we tried something different.
Al in all these were exhausting but extremely fun activities😍😄.

Around by night
Chinatown
Late in the afternoon, we went on a walk and we saw Saint Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar square. It was quite a cloudy afternoon, but we enjoyed our time together anyway. Then, our teachers walked us to Piccadilly Circus and we had some free time to spend with our friends. We walked the area divided into little groups and we went shopping. Everyone was searching for souvenirs as presents for their relatives. There were many little shops and we entered almost all of them 😀. We had dinner in different places and then more time to go shopping. It was a beautiful night and Piccadilly Circus was illuminated by the lights of the city. The roads were crowded with tourists but also local people who hurried to catch the underground or the bus.
After a beautiful day, we had the opportunity to see the city by night!
Our night fastly came to an end, but our professors decided to take us for a walk in the prettiest areas of London by night.🌃 We walked down many streets and then we reached a bridge. There we managed to see the most beautiful part of London illuminated by the light in the night. For a single spot, we could see the London Eye, the Big Ben and the stunning skyline😆. At the end of the night, we caught the underground and we came back to the hotel. We were all really tired but also very happy, as we had a wonderful day. 😄
