Akhenaten was the first leader to practice monotheism, which means believed in one god. He began to worship Aten, the sun god, and removed all things that talked about Ra in temples, tombs, and cities. Akhenaten changed his name because of his beliefs, his name means "the living spirit of Aten".

Akhenaten was a bad leader because he almost caused Egypt to go into bankruptcy. He also moved his capital city from Thebes to Amarna and told all the people they had to move as well.

During Akhenaten's reign, he made some major developments when he was ruling Egypt, one being he removed all mentions of Ra (Amen) from Egypt's temples, tombs and cities. Akhenaten changed Egypt's capital from Thebes to Amarna. Another thing Akhenaten did was he almost put Egypt in bankruptcy!

Who was your father?
Who was your mother?
Why did you only believe in one god?
Did you have any brothers or sisters?
Who was the ruler before you?
Did your own religion inspire parts of Judaism?
What did you do to send Egypt into debt?
Where were you born?
How did you die?
Who was next in line for the throne?
