Woot Woot!!! The 6th Annual Fiddlin' 5K Walk/Run for the Arts was a huge success on all levels. We had the highest number of participants ever (202), we had the highest amount of sponsorships ever, we had more musicians on the course than ever before (11 spots), we had a fantastic group of volunteers working on the committee as well as for the day of the event, and we had good weather. The financials are still being put together but we anticipate having raised about $2,500 which will be granted out to youth based arts programs. This is by far, the highest amount the event has brought in.

If you participated in the event this year and had a great time, please tell your friends so we can continue to grow the number of participants. If you have suggestions for improvement, please reach out to us. Many of the reasons this year was such a huge success was because we implemented several of the suggestions that were made from last year.

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Madison County, I want to also thank the amazing group of people who helped make the event possible as well as our sponsors. Several people generously gave their time, talent, and treasures (plus some awesome home-baked goodies!) And one of the things that sets the Fiddlin' 5K apart from all other walk/run events, is having the musicians along the course. Please visit the Musicians Page on our website to see who these folks were and if you bump into them, tell them how much you appreciated their donation of time.

Next year's event date is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020.
