Originating from ancient Roman traditions, Valentine’s Day is a holiday dedicated to spreading kindness, love and thoughtfulness to loved ones through various meaningful ways.
Modern-day Valentine’s Day traditions include gifting flowers, chocolates and teddy bears to dear friends and family to show care and affection.
This year at Liberty, a special Teddy Gram sale is taking place starting from January 27, 2026 to spread kindness around our school.
What’s a simple way to brighten up someone’s day?
The answer this year might be to buy a Teddy Gram.
Similar to Candy Grams, Teddy Grams replace candy with small, stuffed teddy bears that can be gifted to friends and family.
Want to send Teddy Grams without revealing yourself?
The teddy bears can be sent anonymously, with or without a message and come with a keychain attachment.
One Teddy Gram costs $5, and payment must be made through cash. They will be sold during lunch and will be delivered by the Student Council during school on the week of Valentine’s day.
What will all this money be used for?
All the funds raised from the Teddy Gram sale will go to the Student Council where they will be used in school events and a possible spring 8th grade dance.
Editor’s Note: Members of The Liberty Times are also members of Student Council.
