Music Manipulation Design Process
By: Zyler B.
Inspiration: I dreamt of parts of the song from one point, then it went from there.
Tools: BandLab (www.bandlab.com)
Creative Process: I would get on my computer and go to a site called BandLab. In BandLab, I would play around with the samples that were already there until I found something I liked. Then with a Drum Machine, I would make a beat I also liked. Then I went into the sample library in BandLab to find a sample I liked, and the song was finished. For the song name, the song itself had this “welcome” tone to me. And by this, I mean it felt like this is for a tutorial in a game. BandLab sample names were LPT&T_Groove_122_Drum_01_1bar, JTSPD2_140_Beat_06_4bars, and MRAM_138_Em_Key08_8bar, with all others being drum machines, edited to make a good tune, and a Grand Piano Bassline.
Use of Existing Content: PT&T_Groove_122_Drum_01_1bar, JTSPD2_140_Beat_06_4bars, and MRAM_138_Em_Key08_8bar, all by BandLab, that states in its help center that “their included loops and samples are 100% free” and that all of their loops and samples “have been registered under Creative Commons and are 100% royalty free.”
