Digital Storytelling Manuscript

On my porch in 2021 in the fall, it was near bed time I saw my friend and I was happy to see my friend. I was walking fast to him and then I fell. I saw that I fell on my foot, I started to cry.
I yelled, “My foot hurts really bad!”
I touched my foot and my dad. I had to yell for my dad to come because I could not get up by myself. When my dad helped me up I saw that I was in the rocks and there was this big box on the porch. I felt a little embarrassed because my friend saw all of that.
My dad told me, “ Your fine just get up and walk on it.’’
I replied, “okay.’’
I get up and start to walk on it.
I told my dad, “My foot really hurts!’’
My dad replied, “It will get better so stop whining.’’
I replied, “okay.’’
My eyes were very watery and I held my tears in.
Then me and my dad walked to our four wheeler and I sat on it. Me and my dad just talked for a little bit, then my friend went home. My dad helped me walk in the house. I walked in the house and started to tell what happened to my mom and sister.
I told them, “I fell and hurt my foot really bad and I need an ice pack.’’
My mom replied, “Here is a ice pack with a towel around it.’’
My sister told me, “Are you okay?’’
I replied, “No!’’
My sister replied, “Do you need me to go get my doctor supplies?’’
I replied, “No.”
My sister told me, “Well, I hope you get better.”
I replied, “Me too!”
After a few minutes I had to get ready for bed and it was hard but I went through it all and got in bed.
“I think she might have sprained her foot,” Dad whispered.
“I hope not,” Mom whispered back.
“We are just going to have to see tomorrow if it still hurts,” Dad whispered back.
“Let’s not tell her tonight because she is already in a lot of pain,” Mom whispered back.
“I will go get you an ice pack after we pray,” Mom told me.
We prayed then my mom got me an ice pack and a pillow. After a few minutes I finally fell asleep!
The next day I had to crawl to the living room and get on the couch and lay down.
“Has your foot gotten better yet?” Mom asked.
“No!” I yelled in pain
“I hope it gets better,” Mom told me.
“Me too,” I told my mom.
“Today we are going to take you to the doctor,” Mom told me.
“Okay mom,” I replied
In the afternoon they took me to the doctor. They took x-rays and found what was wrong with my foot.
“Your daughter has a broken foot so we will give you a boot so she can walk ,” the doctor told us.
“What!” Mom yelled.
“If she walks she will have to have the boot on,” Doctor replied.
“Can you remember how you fell on it,” Doctor asked.
“Yes!” I replied.
“What happened?” Doctor asked
“I twist it and then I fell on it,” I replied
“That will do it!” Doctor replied.
“Yes it will,” I replied
“Your foot should get better here after 6 months,” The doctor told us.
Then the doctor answered all of our questions and gave us a boot. I learned to look down where I walk. I always look down where I walk nowadays.
Digital Storytelling Process
By: Kaylee S.
After writing my story, I used Google Slides. I typed my story breaking it up on different slides, used different background colors and added clipart and transitions.
