Mx. Billy- Program Leader

Nice to meet you all! My name is Billy Vazquez (pronouns They/Them). One fun fact about me is I’m fluent in both English and Spanish (I also have 2 cats that understand me in both languages too!). I remember being a kid coming to MSCR for afterschool and summer camp and never really had someone I could relate to. Representation plays a big role in a child’s life, that’s why one of the many things I’m a heavy believer in is never being afraid of your roots or to embrace them. Kids in our community are in need of mentors that they can relate to and connect with. One thing I never expected myself to be is a mentor, now with 4 months in youth work I can’t see myself doing anything else. I’m happy to be here and can’t wait for the school year!
