Four Year Planning

Students begin their 4-year high school planning with their middle school counselor. That plan travels to East with the students, where they continue to develop it through their senior year.

Senior Parent Night

Wednesday October 2nd 5:30-7:30 in the East High Theater

Come learn about the college application process from your high school counselors. Everything from sending ACT and transcripts to completing applications, financial aid and scholarships. We are excited to see you soon! Both students and parents are encouraged to attend, but Seniors will get the same presentation during Extended Purgolder time at school.

Week of October 14th

English classes come to the Career Center for college application support, essay writing, sending ACT scores and transcripts and completing applications.

Transition Squads

Counselors and other Student Support Staff are meeting with small groups of 9th graders each week to help with the transition to high school.

Junior Conferences

During a student's Junior year, they will have the opportunity to meet 1:1 with their counselor to discuss graduation and post high school plans. More information to come!

9th Grade Career Unit

It's never too early to start thinking about what you may want to do after high school! In November, counselors will go into 9th grade classrooms and provide a College, Career, & Community lesson on careers that may be of interest to them. Have your student show you what they learned by logging into their Xello account.
