My photo was taken and, using an app, transformed into a sketch and printed onto paper. Using a marker, I traced the contours of my face and body onto acetate and then painted the back of it. I applied paint in a way that accentuates the flow of hair and clothing, and worked from foreground to background. Then I designed a background to complement the colours in my portrait, helping it to pop.
