Choosing a photo of a Victorian threatened species, students explored using plasticine as an art medium. They were encouraged to mix colours to create different tones and used smearing and moulding techniques to create the shape and texture of their chosen animal. Finally, they used watercolour and wet-on-wet techniques to create an appropriate habitat background to complete their work.
