Michael selected the Dalai Lama as a subject of note for this tonal portrait task. Each section was created through experimentation with different media and drawing techniques. The skills developed included smooth rendering, crosshatching, dot rendering, painting, collage, digital drawing, charcoal rub back and continuous line.
