Students travelled virtually to different countries during Art. They explored Indigenous African tribal masks. Selecting complementary colours, or warm and cool colours to complete their mask patterns, students also used pattern, papier-mâché and recycled materials. Students discovered that in Indigenous African groups, masks are worn by dancers, and at ceremonies that include songs and prayers. They honour children's coming of age, harvests, funerals, and other events.
