The Nest Haven

Students created nests using raffia, sticks and dried leaves and birds using air-dried clay. We looked at how a mother bird carefully chooses sticks to make her nest, and how this is artwork itself, with the intricacy, love and care taken to make it. In Aesop's fable, The Bundle of Sticks,­ we learnt that together the bundle is stronger, as too are we, so we created stick bundles to add to our safe haven.
