Self-Portrait

This self-portrait is inspired by the distinctive style of Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton. Barton’s work is characterised by obsessive mark making, riotous colour and pattern, and the use of delicate, contour lines in her depiction of the figure. Students explored the use of expressive lines and included personal, symbolic subject matter in their portraits.
