Heritage Vessel

I explored my Chinese heritage, specifically the wonderful distinctive artworks like paintings and ceramics that have been created for hundreds of years. After completing the vase using coil hand-building techniques, I painted the surface of my vase white so that I would have a blank canvas on which to hand-paint symbols and decorative patterns that I researched and redesigned, and which were personally and culturally meaningful.
