Deidra into Skull

Pencil and acrylic on board. The subject of my work is Jamie Lee Curtis. I decided to represent metamorphosis in my artwork, which I have chosen to show as the connection between life and death. One side of the board uses monochromatic colour to show tone and give life to the ‘living’ side of my subject. The harsh dark greys and whites on the other side contrast and represent death.
