Local Scholarships

MCHS LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS are now available! You may click on a scholarship title below to access that application, including the LOCAL GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION and several other individual local scholarships.

LOCAL GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION (Pages 1-6)

• The scholarships listed on Pages 1-3 require separate applications, which are accessible in the Google Folder below, on the Counseling Center page at www.maconcountyhs.com, or on the Macon County High School Counseling Center Facebook page.

• Students may apply for all 8 of the scholarships listed on Page 4 by completing the application on Pages 5-6 ONCE; the Counseling Center will then make 7 additional copies of your completed application for you. (All application titles have embedded links that you can click to download or you can access them in the Google Folder, as well.)

For ALL of the MCHS local scholarships, including the Local General Scholarship Application, you may download each individual application, type your responses on each, and then print each completed application, OR you may pick up hard copies in the MCHS Counseling Center to complete in writing.

*There will be a ONE-TIME transcript copying fee of $5.00* when completed scholarships are submitted (unless updated transcript copies are already provided by the student). This fee will only be paid ONE time and will cover the cost of ALL transcripts required for ALL of your local scholarships and extra documents. *Free/Reduced lunch students may waive the $5.00 copying fee.

Class ranking and updated GPAs will be available on January 18, so you may want to wait until after that date to turn in your applications if you anticipate being ranked within the top 20.

FEBRUARY 1--DEADLINE to the Counseling Center: The Local General Scholarship Application and most of the other scholarships are due on this date unless different dates are noted on the other applications.
