Amy Munoz is an Ecuadorian immigrant living in Edmonton, Alberta. Her current practice revolves around a combination of video, handcrafted textiles, painting, and drawing as a method of exploring and reclaiming her Ecuadorian culture.

Amy’s research focuses on Ecuadorian migration and cultural history through the eyes of her family, while finding resilience and a sense of belonging. Through her work, she hopes to show a truthful and authentic representation of this culture and the people that are a part of it.
