Dana Belcourt is a twenty-one year-old, Métis artist based in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (so-called Edmonton). Her main focuses include painting murals and producing and self-published zines. So far she has collaborated on eight murals and produced seventeen zines featuring her own designs and writing. Dana currently studies at MacEwan University and aims to go to school in Emily Carr to finish her Bachelor of Fine Arts.

My work focuses on the world I experience. My work involves painting murals which bring light to the untold stories of the city, as well as making zines featuring art and writing about my life and experiences. These include things such as love, being a university student, mental illness, as well as being someone of mixed Indigenous-European descent. I write and make art about the world I see around me.
