Our "pup" - Missy
It is a privilege to be the Elementary Principal of MACCRAY Public Schools, and I look forward to continuing to work with the staff and parents of our schools.
Here is a little bit about me: I am in my third year as a Principal, with my first two years spent northeast of Bemidji.
I was raised near Grafton, Ohio and moved to Cokato, Minnesota as a nineteen-year-old. After taking five years off, and working in a factory, I returned to college in 2003 and graduated from St. Cloud State in 2005. I later obtained both my master's degree and K-12 Principal license from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, in 2009 and 2012 respectively.
In 2005, I was hired by the Meeker and Wright Special Education Cooperative where I taught Language Arts, to at-risk youth. During that time, I was also a football coach for eight seasons ('04-'11) and served as Union President ('08-'15).
My wife (Heather) and I have been married for 20 years, and we have a son (Trent) who is in his third year at South Dakota State University. We also have a 12-year-old Hungarian Vizsla named Missy.
Interests: college and professional football, cooking, traveling, video games, learning how to do various handyman projects around the house, golf, and fishing
