Hello! My name is Alyse Fletcher and I currently teach Chemistry, Physical Science and Freshman Seminar.
I am a Nevada Native; I moved from Carson City to Dayton when I was in 5th grade and graduated from Dayton High School in 2013. After high school, I attended the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating with a B.S. in Secondary Education with an emphasis on General Science and Biology, and then went on shortly after and earned my Master's Degree in Math (5-12) Education.
After I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, I realized that Reno wasn't home and I moved back to my small hometown, Dayton. I taught Science for four years at Dayton Intermediate School before transferring to Dayton High School where I taught Math for three years. I have been the Head Volleyball Coach at Dayton High School since 2019. This will be my first year at Douglas High!
I enjoy many things outside of teaching: bodybuilding, traveling, doing escape rooms, playing volleyball, hiking, enjoying the outdoors, trying new foods, seeing history in the "real world," and PUPPIES (who doesn't love puppies?)!
I am very excited and eager for this new adventure at Douglas High School and I am grateful that I get to continue learning from my students as they learn from me also.
