Since the fall of 2024, the University of Lynchburg has been using a new system called Colleague to manage transfer credits (among other data). This public website shows which courses have been accepted for transfer and what they are equivalent to at the University of Lynchburg: https://myhive.lynchburg.edu/transfer. The site will become more complete over time as more transfer data is added to the Colleague system.

What is a Course Equivalence?

A course equivalence means that a course taken at another institution is considered equal to a specific course offered at the University of Lynchburg. For example, a "PSY 101 General Psychology" course taken at a community college might be designated as equivalent to "PSYC 111 Introduction to Psychological Science" at the University of Lynchburg. This public database is designed to show these equivalences, helping students understand exactly how their credits will be counted.
