Flags of five English-speaking countries (CM1)
Here are the countries of the CM1 flag page.

[First the United Kingdom, with its blue, white and red flag. This flag has a nickname: it's the Union Jack. A jack is a small flag used on ships.
Second comes the flag of Canada, a red maple leaf on a white and red background. Number three is the flag of the United States of America: the colours are the same as in the British and French flags, but here you can see stars and stripes. Its nickname, in fact, is the Stars and Stripes. There are 50 stars representing the 50 States of the USA. Number 4 is the flag of South Africa: its red and blue rectangles are separated by a green band, a horizontal "Y". Other colours are black, yellow and white. This flag is very young: it was designed in 1994.
Flag number five is the flag of Australia: it contains a small flag, the Union Jack because it was an English colony; the 5-star constellation is the Southern cross, a group of stars you can't see in Italy!
