We have started a new middle school eLibrary through EPIC! books.

There are over 25,000 books available for students to choose from. These books are available free during the school day in their classrooms and at the Media Resource Center (MRC). If you would like them available at home as well there is a 30 day free trial for parents and then it is $5.99 a month after that.

Dear Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister, and Tank the Bulldog...

The middle school game will begin at 3:45pm and the JV game at 5:30pm the varsity at 7pm. T-shirt sponsorship is available (see attachment) and students are permitted to wear this t-shirt to school on this game day (Sept 20). So show-off your family support and/or business support of this great cause! Looking forward to another great year and certainly a great cause!!!

Secondary News 8/27/18

Thank you to all the families who were able to attend our Back to School Night. Many families shared that they had a wonderful time meeting with teachers and hearing what the year will hold.

Middle School Chromebooks are up and running and the teachers have embraced this additional resource in their classrooms. Students, remember that this is a Learning Tool and should be used as such.

Planning ahead- Friday 8/31 is a half day. Middle School students will be dismissed at 11:50 and High School at 12:00. All secondary students need to be picked up by 12:15. There will not be aftercare for middle school students that day.

Lost and Found- Our lost item bin in the Secondary Office is full to overflowing with lunch boxes, clothes and school supplies that have been left behind. Students may search for their items before and after school. Please encourage them to do so before it is too late.

Middle School students who would like to assist with preliminary Shoebox activities may see Ms. Kauffman about joining FIA students on Wednesdays and Fridays after school.

High School Students have received their packets of information pertaining to the retreat that will be held September 12-14 in Lake Placid, FL. We are looking forward to an amazing time of fellowship, spiritual growth and fun. Students should return their paperwork to the Secondary Office ASAP.

Guidance News

  • Seniors: Mr. Wingate will be beginning to meet with you this week to discuss your post high school plans.
  • New families are encouraged to ask questions and not to hesitate to get involved.

Front line Thoughts:

Become familiar with Renweb. You can find out a lot about what your child is doing throughout the day. In addition to their being to class on time or not, you can see lesson topics for the day, assignments and the due dates, when quizzes and tests are scheduled, and the grades earned for all of that work or if work was not submitted. Renweb also gives the current cumulative grade for each class.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

We Pray that each student has an amazing year & their name means something awesome...because God has given them a "Do -Over"!

**Please keep in mind that for your security, students are not allowed to have any items delivered to school from non-family members without prior approval of the office, that includes arranging transportation through Uber or similar companies during school hours.
