Homecoming Week is here! We are in for a high energy, creative, crazy week of events. Coach E, Pastor Phillip, and Mr. Fanego have a few tricks up their sleeves. (Yes, there will still be academic responsibilities such as homework).

Please see the following agenda:

Dress Up Days- All costumes must maintain a level of appropriateness. No leggings/spandex, holes in jeans. Tutus may be worn over regular pants (not shorts/spandex), shoulders must be covered. Use your head and enjoy being creative- ask questions before you choose if you need to. School uniforms will be required if you are not participating in the daily costume theme. Tallies of students that are dressed up by grade level will be taken in first period class each day.


Monday- no dress up, school uniforms only

Tuesday High school students: Team day (get your squad together)

Wednesday High school students: Character ( cartoon, movie, etc)

Thursday High school and Middle school students: Throwback (80’s, 90’s, pick an era- disco isn’t dead)

Friday all school (K-12): BLUE AND GOLD SPIRIT COLORS (no hair dye or total face paint)

*Students- remember that spandex is not an option and will not count towards grade level points. You will be changing into PE shorts if sent to office.

Lunch Competitions :

Both lunches Tuesday through Friday

(Juniors and seniors will be voting for the King and Queen of the Homecoming Court on Wednesday.)

Thursday: All 8th grade students are to report to their 8th period class and go to the cafe for information about transitioning to high school and ice cream

Seniors, please remember to fill out your senior information in the form Mrs. Cronin sent you and stop by her room to pick out your senior picture if you haven't already. If you never received the form please let Mrs. Cronin know so that she can send you another one!

Middle school students: Please remember that you are not permitted to use your cellphone in any building, including the hallways and classrooms at all. This includes before and after school.

Baseball tryouts 1/28/19

Softball "Open Field" starting this Monday (14th). These "Open Field" days will be held Mondays thru Thursdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm until the actual tryout days, which will be Feb. 4th-7th. Contact Coach Duke if your on a winter team but will want to play spring softball. Meet in MRC at 3:25pm before practices. Parent Meeting 1/22/19

Mrs. Acosta's students are reminded that their classes will be held in the elementary library today. 8th period chorus class will need to bring work along with them. MS chorus members are reminded to report directly to Mr. Bom.

Seussical rehearsal Tuesday from 3-4 pm for JoJo, Cat, Mr. Mayor, Mrs. Mayor, and Who-ville citizens

Jubilate and Jubilation

will be hosting another worship night and dessert reception fundraiser for their Iceland festival. The event will be held on Saturday February 1st at 7 pm at Sunlight Community Church in Lake Worth. Tickets are only $10 and all ticket money will go directly to the group members to help pay for their trip. Tickets are available from any Jubilate or Jubilation member and Mrs. Acosta. Make plans to support this event!

Mrs. Hook

Would you like to be a part of Faith In Action this semester? We will be working with local charities to assist them with their ministries. That could include Missionary Flights International, Big Dog Ranch, Gleaning with Cross Ministries, beach clean-up, helping with local Easter Egg hunts and others that you would like to do. 30 hours of community service after school and/or on the weekends with the class are involved. Sign up on Mrs. Hook's door this week if you would like to participate. We look forward to working together.

Mrs. Shropshire

Students attending the Homecoming dance- please remember that if you are bringing a guest you must have submitted a Guest Request Form to Mrs. Shropshire. Guests will be reviewed before being allowed to attend the dance and they must bring an ID with them for admission. Guys and ladies- remember that it is a semi formal dance so no jeans or sneakers/flip flops allowed. This is your chance to dress to impress!

We have started a new middle school eLibrary through EPIC! books.

There are over 25,000 books available for students to choose from. These books are available free during the school day in their classrooms and at the Media Resource Center (MRC). If you would like them available at home as well there is a 30 day free trial for parents and then it is $5.99 a month after that.
