Fablehaven author Brandon Mull stopped by YB to chat with students this week. What a treat to have him talk with students about how awesome reading is! All of Mull's books are now checked out of our library!

Week of October 1
This week we continued to focus on perseverance and mindfulness reading The Most Magnificent Thing and Zen Ties.
Fifth graders then decorated cherry blossoms with thoughts of mindfulness. Another class decorated with descriptions of a time they triumphed in attaining a goal.
Week of September 24
This week we focused on perseverance in the fiction book Flight School by Lita Judge.
Our non-fiction selection was Animals in Fall by Martha E.H. Rustad.

Week of August 27
Welcome back to the YB library! There have been some changes at YB at the summer and the library is now also the tech lab. Grades TK-2 will be in the library for tech and library time, while grades 3-5 will have tech in their classrooms.
I'm excited to share some wonderful new books that came in over the summer. This week we will go over library rules with all grades. If time permits, students will check out a book this week.
