Band (Concert)

Students who wish to be placed in Wind Ensemble (Advanced Band) OR Intermediate Band should prepare the following audition. Students will record a video of themselves and send it to Mr. Morales via email or Google Drive by 5/30/2026.

Advanced Band students should prepare the following:

• 5 scales 

  • 4 major scales and 1 chromatic scale

    • Major scales (concert pitch)

      • G, C, Db, Ab

    • Chromatic scale (2 octave starting on the pitch of your choice)

• Selected Piece CLICK HERE to find your assigned piece. 

• Prepared Piece

  • This is a piece you prepare and select yourself. This should be 45-60 seconds in length.

Intermediate Band students should prepare the following:

• 4 scales 

  • 3 major scales and 1 chromatic scale

    • Major scales (concert pitch)

Bb, Eb, F

• • • Chromatic scale (1 octave starting on concert Bb)

• Prepared Piece

  • This is a piece you prepare and select yourself. This should be 30-45 seconds in length.
