Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
I am very excited to start my sixteenth year here at AEW.
I love teaching math at AEW because of the hardworking and dedicated staff I work alongside as well as the amazing students that continue to fill my classroom seats.
I started my journey to become a classroom teacher in 2007 when I began my credentialing program at California State University Fullerton. I got engaged soon after and ended up transferring to California State University Northridge, where I completed the credentialing program. After a semester student teaching at Northridge Academy High and then Calabasas High School, I joined AEW in 2009. I have been here ever since and have loved every minute of being part of this team! In 2012, I decided to go back to CSUF to obtain a Masters in Secondary Education (emphasis on Pedagogy).
I have two children of my own that go to LVUSD- both are boys at Bay Laurel. Ryan is going into 5th grade and Carter is going into 4th grade. After having a wonderful summer with them, I am excited, refreshed, and ready to start a new school year with all of you! :)
Sincerely,Mrs. Mahendra
