What is LVUSD Flight?
LVUSD Flight is a teacher-centered, self-paced, gamified professional learning model, in which teachers complete tasks and earn points so that they can "level up" and earn badges and other goodies. Teachers complete tasks on their own time, at their own pace.
Topics covered include:
- Tech tools - These tasks involve using new technology tools in the classroom for learning
- PD/PLN - PD/PLN activities are designed to foster job-embedded Professional Development and grow a teacher's Professional Learning Network
- Pedagogy - Items under Pedagogy are intended to encourage the use of new learning models in the classroom
- Collaboration - Collaboration activities foster greater collaboration and resource development among teacher teams/peers
TD Hours Available for FLIGHT
TD hours are awarded upon level completion. Hours and swag are awarded automatically at the end of the month. If you have not received your swag (prizes) or hours for a completed level by the 5th of the following month, please contact Karen Lagola or Nancy Minicozzi.
Level 1 - On the Runway : 1.5 hours
Level 2 - Wheels Up: 1.5 hours
Level 3 - Climbing: 3 hours
Level 4 - Cruising: 4 hours
Level 5 - Soaring Above the Clouds: 5 hours
Level 6 - Breaking the Sound Barrier: 6 hours
