Welcome students  to the school year 2026-2027. I am so excited to be your math teacher this year. Here is a little bit about myself!

My name is Dina Zaklama. I was born and raised in Egypt in English Catholic Schools. I moved to California with my husband and my 3 year old then son in 2003. I have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering , a California single subject mathematics teaching credentials, and a Master's in mathematics education. I taught  math overseas in American Missionary schools for 5 years before moving to the States.  This starts my 20th year here at LVUSD.....I have 2 kids who are former chargers. My son, Fady, is in his third year of medical school, and my daughter, Kristy, is a college sophomore studying engineering...In addition to my passion for math and being here at AHS with my students and colleagues, I love spending good time with family and friends and I have a great passion for traveling and seeing new places around the world.  We did Greece this summer :)....We love dogs. We had a little dog named Cuttie who sadly passed away last March of old age. She was a Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso mix.
