In reviewing the feedback we have received thus far, the concept of a 4-Day Instructional Week has overarching positive support from our community. The purpose of the Four Day Instructional Week Roundtable Team is to discuss and work through the concerns of the community and determine what will work best for our students here in LVISD. They will provide feedback to Board of Trustees, Superintendent & Administration.

"With instructional minutes being the same across the state, attracting and retaining quality teachers will be the difference maker for our kids."
"One thing that wasn't discussed thoroughly is the fact that LVISD pay is significantly lower than districts within minutes of LVISD. For instance, at my pay grade, I make $##### base pay, but ECISD is $#####. Ten thousand dollars a year difference for a 12 minute drive is a big deal. We have to do something to make LVISD more attractive despite the fact that we don't get as high of pay as nearby districts."
