Thank you for subbing today. I had an emergency so I wasn't able to leave things so well prepared. Students and Instructional Aides will be able to help you find the materials. You are on minimum day schedule. The seating chart is on my tech desk.


Please open the windows and turn on the A/C to allow ventilation in the class. In between classes allow for the coming class to wipe their tables. You can distribute two wipes per row to wipe down their tables.

On my desk you will find a seating chart as well with information about procedures.

Please display the agenda for each class so they can write it down in their planners.

World History (Period 1 & 2)

  • [5m] Take attendance.Distribute sticky notes for students cnn10 activity.

  • [10m] Play today’s episode of CNN 10

  • [5m] time to write a summary. Remind students to compile their notes together, staple together any loose pages and to include their first and last name and the class period. Then Collect CNN 10 notes.

  • [20m] Students will read Physical Geography (pp. GT16-GT23) titled “Human Geography" all three sections. I have assigned this reading so they should see it on their textbook homepage as an assignment but in case they don’t they can find this page in their digital textbook. Students access their digital textbook using Classlink, the app is called NGL Sync. If students use physical textbooks from class set please make sure to sanitize their hands but they should all have online access.

  • [5m] Discuss aloud with students the answer to the questions at the end of each section.



US History (Periods 3,4,5,6,7)

  • [5m] Take attendance. Distribute sticky notes for students cnn10 activity, only for periods 3,4,5. No sticky notes for DLA periods 6,7.

  • [10m] Play today’s episode of CNN 10

  • [25m] Have students continue with their "Analyze the Primary Source Artifact" Assignment that we started in class yesterday. We already did analyzed the first artifact together, today they should at least complete artifact 2 and 3 on their own. If they complete those two early please tell them to continue and get as many of them completed.



IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES

  • In case of a fire please refer to the map next to the door above the hand sanitizer dispenser.

  • In case of a lockdown close all the blinds, lock the door, and when the phone rings pick up for instructions.
