Work-Based Learning is an ideal opportunity for students to explore a career related to their chosen career pathway. Students will experience authentic real-life work experiences while connecting fundamental skills learned in the classroom to worksite application. Students will develop employability and technical skills that will translate into career/college success in the coming years.

Why Students Join the WBL Program?
Students at LCHS are working to complete coursework related to their career pathway while attending school.
Students enrolled in WBL have a unique opportunity to safely explore their chosen career path during high school.
Students enrolled in WBL have the opportunity to intern locally and gain entry-level experience in their related career field.
WBL students are more certain of their career path before leaving high school and/or before declaring their major in college.
The mission of the Work-Based Learning Program is to assist in providing a highly trained, technologically sophisticated and career oriented young work force. This is accomplished by developing partnerships between business, industry, students, parents, school systems, coordinators, post-secondary institutions, and registered apprenticeships which will lead the participating student into meaningful careers.
