Before you can use Classroom, you need to set your class settings.

In this lesson, we’ll look at:

  • Setting a Class Schedule

  • Adding Students

Class Controls help you keep your students engaged in lessons by giving you tools to send information, get students’ attention, and control internet access.

We know you don’t have time to constantly monitor students’ screens, so the Insights section uses a proprietary algorithm to let you know when a student has unusual browsing activity and may be off task. This way, you know where to focus your attention. You can then use insights to quickly check in with that student with a message or in person.

The Activity List lets you see what your students are up to in real time. Here you can see which students are online, their statuses (working, need help, or done), the website they’re currently looking at, the website they’ve viewed most frequently, and the number of websites they’ve looked at recently.

The Student Information Panel gives you access to an individual student’s current and past web activity. You can also use this section to share a student’s screen, lock or unlock a student’s screen, or record the student’s activity.
