Visual Schedules

A visual schedule is a tool used to assist students with managing their daily activities independently. A visual schedule can be as simple as a written checklist, or may include pictures to help students conceptualize their day. 

While visual schedules may help all students, those with language delays will benefit from the constant exposure to meaningful vocabulary. Other students who struggle with transitions will benefit from advanced warnings of changes to routines provided by visual schedules.
