Silver Lining

Holidays are full of emotions. This season, we are all experiencing some of the same emotions, like the excitement for a well-deserved Christmas Break! Though there is a natural excitement during this time of year, there are still those times when we all get the "holiday blues." Whether it is the first Christmas without a family member,  a non-traditional gathering due to Covid-19, or just the extra time to decompress from an extremely busy and difficult year, we all have those gloomy clouds come up in our lives. Take the time to step back from the issues, get a good view of what's going on, and look for the good in every situation. Parents, talk with your kiddos and help them find that silver lining that shines through and past the issues they are experiencing.

Best Wishes,

-Mrs. Bennett

All Ears

Parents,

Take some time during your day to talk with your kiddos. The best advice is to let them know you are LISTENING! Though it may take some practice, engage your child in conversation and let them know you are there to hear them. Sometimes, the best "talks" are just simply allowing those around us to speak, share their thoughts, and have a voice. Once that door opens, reassure them you are "all ears!

Have a great Thanksgiving,

-Mrs. Bennett
