JASON TAYLOR
LHS Assistant Principal Grades 9 & 10
MEET MR. TAYLOR
Mr. Taylor joined the LHS Administrative team in 2022. He has worked in education for over 15 years. Before accepting the position of Assistant Principal at LHS he worked in Chicopee for ten years teaching social studies in grades 7-12 and coached boys’ soccer. He then served as an administrator for the Westfield Public School District as the Supervisor of Social Studies for grades 7-12 for two years and was the Dean of Management and Operations at H.B. Lawrence School in Holyoke for a year before arriving at Ludlow.
As an educator and administrator, he has found success through his ability to develop positive, respectful relationships with students, staff, and members of the community to provide a safe, nurturing culture; meaningful learning experiences; and equitable opportunities for success. He believes that collaboration and a student-centered philosophy are central to improving the lives of our students.
Taylor earned a B.A. in Political Science at Western New England University, M.A.T. in Social Studies at Elms College, and has his Administrative Certification for grades PreK-12 through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Mr. Taylor lives in Feeding Hills with his wife Liz, a School Psychologist, and their daughter Catherine and son J. Matthew Jr. (Matt). He is a huge sports fan, especially soccer, and enjoys staying active.
